This project consisted of an 8,500-seat state of the art minor league baseball facility for the AA Birmingham Barons located in downtown Birmingham. It includes 26 luxury skyboxes and meeting and banquet rooms. There are 400-club level seats that allow baseball fans to sit outside and watch or go inside to a large bar area. The structural system consists of steel beams and columns with composite floor slabs and a combination of structural steel trusses and steel joist roof systems. The project involved a substantial amount of structural site work including retaining walls and stairs on grade for stadium seating. Drilled pier foundations were utilized for this project.
