Birmingham Airport Terminal Modernization
Birmingham, AL

The project includes a new Concourse A and renovation to Concourse B and C to provide 23 gates including 2 for international flights, 80,000 square feet of new concession space, and a new consolidated passenger and baggage screening. The design includes sustainable features to achieve LEED Gold Status. The project required working closely with Homeland Security, Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Inspection Services and the multiple airlines serving Birmingham. The project utilized BIM (Building Information Modeling). The structural system is structural steel.
